This policy explains how Reves (“we”, “us”), operator of merakidistributor.in, collects and uses personal data when you browse the website, request a quotation or contact us. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Quote requests and orders: your name, business email, and optionally phone/WhatsApp number, company name and any message you add, together with the products and quantities you request.
Licence, bulk-quote and SKU enquiry forms: the details you enter and any file you upload (for example a bill of materials in PDF, Excel or CSV format).
Billing and delivery details: GST, billing and delivery information you provide when you accept a quotation.
Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

We never ask for your Cisco account or Meraki Dashboard password. Please do not send passwords through our forms.

3. Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and verify licensing requirements.
To process orders, arrange delivery or licence fulfilment, and issue invoices.
To send service emails about your request or order.
To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To protect the website against spam, fraud and abuse.
To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to serve you:

Cisco and our authorised Cisco distribution partners, when we place an order or register licences on your behalf.
Delivery partners, to ship hardware to you.
Service providers that help us run the website: web hosting, email delivery (Google), spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), image delivery (Optimole), website analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics, Google for WooCommerce) and newsletter delivery (Mailchimp).
Authorities, where required by law.

Some of these providers may process data outside India, subject to applicable law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and quotation data for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and order and invoice records for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law. Uploaded files are kept only as long as needed to prepare and follow up your quotation.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the website to work (for example to keep your quote basket and protect forms against spam), and analytics and marketing cookies to understand website usage and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as the quote basket, may not work without essential cookies.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have given (for example for the newsletter), or raise a grievance about how we handle your data. Email sales@merakidistributor.in with the subject “Privacy request”. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, spam and file-upload checks, and restricted administrator access to protect your data. No online system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.
